Cameron Schnurr
I work in enterprise IT supporting systems, users and platforms. In recent years my focus has shifted toward Linux, virtualization and cloud infrastructure, supported by home lab work while also studying for new certifications.
This site brings together both sides of that experience, the operational work I’ve done in my career and the infrastructure and platform projects I run and maintain in my lab. It reflects how I work in practice: troubleshooting complex issues, building and maintaining systems and learning new technologies.
Cloud Operations

- Provisioned EC2 instances and explored Launch Templates and Auto Scaling
- Practiced patching and configuration workflows using AWS SSM
- Explored load balancers, health checks and target groups used for service availability

- Manage users, groups, and permission models across Linux environments
- Work with systemd services and core system configuration
- Built and maintain a 3-node Proxmox cluster using QEMU/KVM virtualization, Docker Compose, and LXC containers
- Configure and troubleshoot boot processes, startup services, and kernel parameters
- Deploy and maintain encrypted storage configurations, including Btrfs with LUKS encryption
- Configure and maintain network access controls, segmentation, and firewall rules to securely expose services

- Apply a structured troubleshooting approach to isolate OS, driver, network, and application issues
- Own incidents end-to-end, following investigation and remediation through to resolution
- Diagnose and resolve complex user and system issues that fall outside standard support scenarios
- Bridge user-facing incidents with underlying infrastructure or platform issues when problems extend beyond the desktop
Mobility Operations
